During The Month Of June Celebrated each year, Men’s Health Month brings awareness to the health issues all men face. Hosted by Men’s Health Network since 1992, the month is dedicated to enriching men’s health and wellness through a broad spectrum of national screening and educational campaigns.
The purpose of Men’s Health Month is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men. It brings awareness to the health issues all men face. It gives the healthcare community the enhanced opportunity to enrich men’s health and wellness through a broad spectrum of national screening and educational campaigns.
With abundant diversity, Houston is a place where art is flourishing, and artists can find community. A diverse city that boasts a rich tapestry of art and culture becoming a haven for creative expression. Fashion Fitness Swim's Event highlights local Houston artists on the day of the show by showcasing their craft and work. The artist's pieces adds a powerful visual contribution onsite but also a unique and fun way to express themselves and talk about community and support.

How you Can help
Men are significantly less likely than women to see a doctor or report symptoms to a health care provider. Only 60 percent of men go to the doctor for a yearly, routine check up, and 40 percent won’t go until something is seriously wrong.
- Encourage men in your life to make healthy lifestyle choices.
- Encourage men to get regular health screenings and appointments.
- Let men know that seeking help for mental health is not a sign of weakness.
- 31 percent of men suffer depression in their lifetime and 9 percent of men have daily feelings of depression or anxiety. But only 1/4 talk to a mental health professional, and only 1/3 take medication. Pay attention to signs of depression and don’t be afraid to seek help.

June is Men's Health Month: One of the benefits of the summer is the positive effect that it has on our mental health. Our runway show's objective is to bring our Houston community together promoting wellness, and help change the conversation around suicide prevention.
